The tricky thing about geeks is that they are so cutting edge. It is one of the things that makes them so geeky. They read and research all of the new gadgets well before their release and are more than willing to sit for days to be the first to buy the latest gizmos.
So how do you buy presents for men who are geeks?!
Identify the Geek Type
First you must identify what kind of geek you are shopping for. See if your man fits in one of these sweeping and generalized categories:
Apple Geek
- He has a full blown man-crush on Steve Jobs.
- Gets daily updates from apple.
- Can describe in great detail the reasons that he needs every new item.
Gadget Geek
- He could spend several days in the bathroom with the latest Hammacher Schlemmer catalog.

- Comic book and Pop Culture geeks.
- Sci-fi, horror, action, adventure and animation geeks are all at home here.
