Relaxing in the Garden

This week’s quote reminds us to slow down for a few minutes, and take time to recharge our batteries.

The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.

The time to relax is when you don't have time for it.

It’s wonderful to spend a few minutes in the garden, first thing in the morning, before it gets too hot. Pull a few weeds, smell some flowers, and sip your first cup of coffee.

The garden was even more relaxing that usual this week, because my son spent a couple of hours pulling out all the weeds for me! You can see him hard at work in the picture below.

As I mentioned before, the summer weather has been perfect for the garden plants, including the weeds, and they quickly get out of control, as you saw in my previous pictures. I work at it every day, but it’s hard to keep up!

It’s been a bit hotter and drier this week, so maybe the weeds will slow down, and I can keep the garden looking clean and lovely.

So, wherever you can find a quiet spot, even if it’s just in your imagination, remember to find a few minutes to relax today – you need it!

The time to relax is when you don't have time for it.
